And that’s how Traveler ends….

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | July 20, 2007

Traveler(S01E08) Well… it sucks. “It” referring to a couple of different things. Of course, the first thing “it” means is the end if the show. Sure it might not have been officially canceled, but really it’s as if.

I mean, while again (way) too many shows got canceled before they had a real chance to grow an audience, Traveler did air all the way. Only they’ve been cut off by 5 episodes, as originally ABC had ordered not 8 but 13 episodes ! No really, it is over.

But “it” also means, the way it did end. That last episode, well, sucked.

Jericho fans can be pleased… NOT!

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | July 20, 2007

JerichoI guess pretty much every one knows, by now, about the CBS drama Jericho. Had you never watched it before, all the fans’ “Nuts” campaign and its happy ending got talked so much that you must have heard of it, one way or another.

And the fans have a few reasons to be happy, in theory. Unfortunately, it won’t leave the area of theory, because in reality, they’re just, well, fucked. Not that they didn’t succeed in achieving they’re goals, just that it won’t matter.

I fought the law and, and the law won.

Are the Emmys out of touch with the reality of TV?

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | July 19, 2007

It was highly predictable even before the nominations were revealed, that people would yell and scream at the Emmys for all their mistakes. And exactly that happened, people who actually watches TV are, indeed, pissed. Because they nominated shows that should never have made the list (Boston Legal), and completely snubbed others that should have won the awards (Lost) !
And that goes not only for dramas, or shows.

But why is that? Why are the Emmys so wrong? Well, they simply lost touch with the reality of what TV is nowaday. They forgot the awards should recognize quality, and settled down for popularity instead.

Emmy Nominations - Some right, some wrong….

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | July 19, 2007

Alright, the Emmy nominations are out, and once again even though they got some right, there’s a lot of things wrong and shows/people that got nominated but doesn’t deserve it, and plenty that should have been and yet are no where to be seen.

But even when the nominees are right, the winner might be just plain wrong as I have a strong feeling all the people voting for the Emmys are people who never watched TV, don’t know any of the shows, so especially don’t know which are really good and which awfully suck!

Did Lost just loose Alpert?

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | July 18, 2007

Richard AlpertYou guys probably know Nestor Carbonell ? No ? How about Richard Alpert ?

Carbonell, who plays Alpert, the guy that never ages and can leave the Island and come back as he whishes, on ABC’s hit drama Lost. Well, at least, he used to.

See, Carbonell has now joined the cast of CBS new show Cane, an epic drama about the external rivalries and internal power struggles of a large Cuban-American family running an immensely successful rum and sugar business in South Florida.

Beauty and the Greek

Greek(S01E01) So I’m not exactly sure why, but it happened : I watched the pilot of the new ABC Family’s show Greek.

As usual I didn’t know anything about that show, I just liked its name. No really, if had I to choose between Halo, which to me inevitably keeps bringing back bad old memories of German class, and Greek, well, I never took Greek class!

Heroes second season to be boring, Hiro says

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | July 18, 2007

HeroesEven though I liked the show when it started and, despite not being the greatest show, still liked it a lot pretty much all season long, their absolute piece of crap of a finale was so bad it not only made me really hate the episode, but the whole season & show even !

Trying to close the story and having all characters at the same place for no reasons, and doing nothing… oh God what a nightmare that was. Were they told they’d been canceled just before writing this crap or what??

Recasting at NBC

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | July 17, 2007

Lucy HaleSome casting changes are done on a couple of new shows to debut on NBC, the most-anticipated and much talked-about Bionic Woman, even though I am not personally that excited about this show, and Life, a new drama about detective Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis) who is given a second chance after years in prison serving time for a crime he didn’t commit, a show that might not sound so amazing like that, but that got me the most excited about (for what I’ve seen of it so far).

The 4400: Try The Pie

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | July 17, 2007

The 4400(S04E05) A new episode of The 4400, a new ability from a new “extra-crispy. That’s one of the complaints I had with that show. That, and the fact that the main story wasn’t really moving.

Well, it’s all gone now. This new episode of The 4400 was not like the others, it was much better ! And that feels so good.

I never lost my faith in the show, or considered stop watching or anything remotely close to this, but I sure didn’t enjoy it as much as I did this time. No more new character to follow and only a little on the main, big story. This time it was all about it!
