How many Bionic Women do you need?

(PreAir) I’ve said already that I was not feeling that new show, for two main reason. An obvious lack of inspiration from people who went for nothing but a new version of an old shows, but with better special effects than thirty years ago! And also, the way they announced they had cast Isaiah Washington to join in on the show, was a pretty bad sign about how they truly felt about the show in itself.
But of course I still wanted to see how it looked like, and I just watched a screener and, well, it feels like another Chuck to me, but not as bad.
Of course what I saw was only a screener, and a first version. As I mentioned earlier there has been recasting and little changes, and I haven’t seen that new version. In what I saw, no Lucy Hale and Jaime Sommer’s young sister still has hearing problems, instead of being (yet another) computer genius, which I’m sure will end up quite useful to assist her big sis’ later on.
Anyways, as I said the show left feeling that it was pretty much like Chuck, in the way that it might very well turn out to work well, but that won’t be because it’s a good show. The show isn’t really good, scripts aren’t much to talk about, but it’s been well filmed, pictures looks good and, yes, you don’t need to compare them to what was done 30 years ago to see that special effects and action/fighting scenes are all pretty good.
But I did not really enjoyed the ride anyways. The episode opens with that old deja-vu scene of soldiers running in that old abandoned hospital serial killer and other creep from Saw and the likes enjoys so much. Dead bodies all over, blood on the walls, lights come and go, and then the big room. With, again, dead bodies all over and in the back, looking over one, a girl. Looking lost, in her traditional hospital outfit.
She jumps at the men in command and he shoots her, and tells her he loves her right before shooting her again.
That’s old, and boring.
Then, there’s Jaime. Of course she has an accident, and her special scientist of a boyfriend, who happened to be working in some secret highly advanced military project, will save her. You know, make her bionic.
