The new MacGyver…

(S01E01) Ok so I’ll be honest with you, when I watched the pilot of this new show, I didn’t know anything about it but its title, Burn Notice, and that’s it. So I went into it completely open-minded, just hoping to enjoy the hour I was gonna spend watching it.

Burn NoticeAn I have to say, it started pretty good. Sure, a spy getting abandoned by his people, finding himself on its own, alone the bad guys who now wants to kill him isn’t very new. But, it was well made, there was a good photo, good acting, and the use of the voice-over was actually an interesting touch on how the story was being told.

But then, the show slowly turned into what it will eventually be. So our spy got himself some PI work to do, using his old relations and knowledge to be successful in everything he’s starting, with never one thing that fails or go wrong.

Right now, it’s starting to be a bit more cliché, doesn’t it?

It will only gets worst. Because what could have been interesting is fading away, as you see that he won’t be a spy going all over the world, but just yet another spy staying in Miami.
It get worst in so many ways by the end of the episode, not only did I hated the show already but I wanted to punch my TV in the face for such a lame time. Read the review of “The new MacGyver…” »

Studio60 can’t be over soon enough!

(S01E20) Ok so you know what? When I first read about Studio60, the latest Sorkin’s show, a new show about the behind-the-scenes, the making of a live comedy TV show “a la” SNL, I was pretty excited. And not just because I usually like Sorkin’s shows.

Then I saw a first couple of episodes, and despite it not being yet as good as it could be, and I was sure it would be, I really liked it? It had a lot of potential, and honestly, it was pretty damn good. Not necessary funny, but the show was never intended to be a sitcom, or even a comedy.
“Get over it, and enjoy it for what it is!” is how i felt by then.

There were many critics about the show, and I had my lists of complaints and such, but still it had good writing, good acting, Studio60 was a solid show with much promise. And I supported it all the way, including when they insisted to do the wrong things, but now, I’m over it.

Studio60 sucks.

Fans, just accept it, it is now a fact. And the last episode I saw was a bug confirmation of this. Even when they did that stupid silly shitty story where they got stuck on the roof, I was still behind the show. But it seems Sorkin and all the writers have now gave up, they’re not trying anymore.
